Holcim, Head of Human Rights and Social Impact

Christoph is the outgoing CEO of World Vision Switzerland and Liechtenstein.With a professional background spanning the arts, media, social entrepreneurship, and humanitarian action, he is passionate about utilising his skills and experiences to support people in need. He was Head of Social Engagement at the World Economic Forum, a Global Leadership Fellow, and Head of the Future Council of the Humanitarian System (at the WEF). He worked for a decade on the frontlines of global conflicts (Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Africa), negotiated with armed actors and ran some of the largest refugee camps. He was nearly killed in a violent ambush in the Central African Republic. He founded the Colour the World Foundation in 2003 and carried out international humanitarian expeditions such as Run for Help (1998), Bike for Help (2002) and Alegria (2010). He received numerous international awards for his humanitarian efforts, public talks, and creative work, including more than 50 international film awards. Christoph holds master’s degrees in Fine Arts, International Relations, and Global Leadership, speaks five languages and has lived and worked in 15 countries. He is a Young Presidents Organisation (YPO) member and serves on theBoard of YPO’s Peace Action Network.
