IMAGINE Leaders – Nanda Bergstein

Nanda Bergstein

Camm Solutions GmbH, Managing Director

For nearly two decades, I’ve been crafting groundbreaking solutions in business for human rights and environmental sustainability. My journey is rooted in an interdisciplinary background, with studies in International Relations from TU Dresden, Germany, and a Master’s in Gender, Development, and Globalisation from the London School of Economics, complemented by leadership and AI training.

During my 15-year tenure at Tchibo GmbH, a leading German brand, I spearheaded mainstreaming sustainability into the company’s products and processes. For meaningful impact, I designed and scaled an innovative human rights program across global factories, and co-initiated the Bangladesh Accord on Fire and Building Safety, ACT on Living Wages, and the Organic Cotton Accelerator. I also played a pivotal role in lobbying for the Human Rights Due Diligence Act in Germany and Europe.

Desiring to build a sustainable and commercially viable company from the start, I joined Camm Solutions (www.camm.org) in 2022, recently becoming Managing Director alongside founder Christoph Bertsch. Camm presents a groundbreaking solution to the plastics crisis, with the potential to cut global waste in half. Today I am convinced: with the right design and network, entrepreneurship can generate profound, positive impacts.

In my free time, I find inspiration in travel, nature, meditation, and playing the piano.

I'm interested in a future Oxford Experience
