Nestlé, Group Head of R&D Information Technology

I am the Group Head for R&D Information Technologies at Nestlé, the world’s biggest food and beverages company. Before that, I industrialized emerging technologies across Nestlé, like augmented reality or chatbots, and led Nestlé’s company-wide AI Global Strategy Program. I hold a PhD in engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and learned executive leadership. and organizational behavior at the London Business School and New York University. Prior to Nestlé, I was the chief operating officer of a New York City-based start-up, where I developed and launched an app ecosystem to match taxi supply and demand in real time. I also led Telehealth and Connected Car product development and new business launches for wireless carrier Telefónica, based in Madrid and the UK, with operations in Europe and Latin America. I started my career as a consultant for Altran in France and worked in R&D for Siemens in Germany and for an technology center in Barcelona. I published more than 70 papers in journals and conferences and obtained 1 patent in diverse areas such as mobile video, wireless communications and optical networking. I am also a public speaker; I’ve given 50+ talks about technology and leadership, appeared in 15+ press articles and have mentored tech startups, graduate students and graduates and women in tech. I am now a Partnerships Committee Member of European Women on Boards and an ambassador for AI Swiss Cognitive, AI4 and London & Global Tech Advocates, and an expert reviewer in Data & AI for Horizon Europe.
