Nadja was the first female member of the Executive Board of the Swarovski Crystal Business. With a mission to bring Swarovski to the forefront of the fashion industry and elevate the brand, she led the Branding, Communications and Licensing divisions and launched the luxury lighting brand Swarovski Crystal Palace in 2002 and the fashion jewellery brand Atelier Swarovski in 2007, using Fairtrade gold and created diamonds to emphasise conscious luxury. She set up the Sustainability department in 2012, overseeing Swarovski’s ESG initiatives while aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Nadja was Chair of the Swarovski Foundation, which she founded in 2013 to foster culture and creativity, promote human empowerment and preserve the environment, and headed up the Swarovski Waterschool, which works in six continents teaching youth about water conservation. She is Founding Patron of the London School of Architecture; a member of The Nature Conservancy’s European Council for GlobalConservation; and member of the Advisory Board at Maison de Mode and the NGO Nest.
