Anne Mieke van der Werf is Director Market | Business Development at Invest-NL and has been part of the organization since its inception in 2019. She is responsible for activities that improve access to finance for innovative companies and projects in the energy transition, healthcare, agrifood, and circular economy sectors. Through Invest-NL’s Business Development activities, she helps companies, financiers, and public authorities develop, finance, and scale innovative business initiatives, often leveraging Dutch and European funding instruments. Since 2025, she has been a member of Invest-NL’s Management Council and holds statutory responsibility for Invest-NL Business Development B.V.
With more than 25 years of experience spanning entrepreneurship, investment management, corporate finance, and business development, Anne Mieke has built a strong track record in financing and scaling sustainable innovations. Before joining Invest-NL, she co-founded and managed the Forest Effect Fund, an impact investment fund focused on sustainable food value chains. Earlier in her career, she served as Director Energy & Climate at Triodos Investment Management and held several business development and finance roles at Shell Renewables and Shell Asset Management.
In addition to her executive responsibilities, Anne Mieke holds several supervisory and advisory board positions, including Chair of the Supervisory Board of Groene Chemie Nieuwe Economie and Supervisory Board Member at Martens en Van Oord and Dekker Groep. She holds an MSc in Economics from Maastricht University and is a CFA charterholder.
