Hilde van Duijn is the CEO of Circle Economy, an Amsterdam-based international think- and do tank dedicated to accelerating the transition toward a circular economy. A hands-on, passionate leader with 20 years of experience in sustainability, policy, and strategy, Hilde excels at navigating complex multi-stakeholder landscapes to turn shared ambitions into impactful, real-world action. She joined Circle Economy in 2018, initially leading research, pilot implementation, and value chain initiatives. Recognised for her ability to build resilient ecosystems within a highly connected global network, she stepped into executive leadership as Managing Director before becoming CEO in February 2026. Prior to joining Circle Economy, Hilde worked as a strategy consultant at Haskoning and New Foresight. In those positions, she contributed to the climate adaptation strategies of the Netherlands, led international knowledge exchange programmes, and built a multi-stakeholder initiative for fashion brands to tackle the challenges in the organic cotton sector.
