Johan Arnø Kryger grew up on the northern tip of Denmark, in Jutland, where the wind never stops and you learn to stand steady in it. He now lives in Copenhagen with his wife Lærke and their two children, Odd and Augusta. When Augusta was born he stepped away from work for months to be with her, and rebuilt the family house with his own hands along the way. By profession he is Nordic Sustainability Director at Hans Just Group, a family-owned wine and spirits group across Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Over fifteen years he has moved between worlds that rarely meet: co-founding Global Fashion Agenda, serving as interim Executive Director of The Fashion Pact, working in management consultancy, and learning the less glamorous craft of commercial delivery. He is an EU Climate Pact Ambassador for Denmark. He believes business is one of the few forces large enough to change systems, once it genuinely decides to. By nature he is shy. The easy thing is to stay quiet, and he rarely does. Stepping beyond his own sphere takes real energy, and that energy comes from home.
