Mamadou Kwidjim Toure

I believe that co-creating a better world is possible when diversity is nurtured, and access to opportunities is evenly distributed. This philosophy was the driving force behind my establishment of Africa 2.0, a non-profit pan-African civil society organization aimed at creating a sustainable vision for Africa's transformation. In 2014, Forbes named me one of the Top 10 Most Influential Men in Africa, and in 2015, I founded the Ubuntu Group, leveraging my global network and investment expertise to launch socio-economic projects across the continent. My latest venture, Ubuntu Tribe, is a digital platform promoting a shared economy through the tokenization of gold and other mineral resources to foster financial inclusion and wealth redistribution. This initiative earned recognition in 2019 as a finalist at the African Banker Awards. In 2020, I was listed among the Top 30 Most Influential People in Blockchain Technology globally. Over the past 20 years, I have worked in institutions such as KPMG, BNP Paribas Investment Banking, the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), and General Electric, where I served as Managing Director in charge of Investments and Project Finance for Sub-Saharan Africa. During this time, I contributed to infrastructure, mining, banking, and agri-tech projects exceeding a combined value of $25 billion, creating opportunities and hope for many across Africa. I have been at the forefront of international high finance and remain a strong advocate for the digital economy as a driver of empowerment and shared prosperity. I attended the prestigious Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris, earned an MSc in Finance from EDHEC Business School (ranked among the global top 10 graduate schools in Finance by Financial Times), and completed executive education programs at Harvard K.S, including Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader in 2018 and PPP in 2010. I have completed a program on AI at MIT.
