I am the Founder and CEO of Aruwa Capital Management, one of the few women-led growth equity, gender-lens funds in Africa. With over 15 years of experience in investment banking and private equity, I have executed transactions across both developed and emerging markets and have worked in global institutions such as J.P Morgan. I founded Aruwa Capital to address the structural gender imbalance in fund management and to demonstrate that investing with a gender lens can drive commercial returns and inclusive growth. In 2023, I was honoured with the 2X Global Woman Fund Manager of the Year award and also recognised as the only woman in Nigeria to have raised over $10 million for a debut institutional fund. Today, I lead a team managing over $65 million in assets under management, investing across high-impact sectors such as healthcare, cleantech, agribusiness and essential goods and services. Outside of work, I am a wife and mother to two boys who enjoys travelling, playing tennis, and cooking. I’m passionate about using capital as a tool for transformation and committed to unlocking the potential of women as both entrepreneurs and investors across Africa.
