Marriott, Senior Director, Global Sustainability
With a background in hospitality and facility operations, Claire joined the hotel industry to further its environmental responsibilities. Initially working at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in Housekeeping and as the property's Sustainability Champion, her passion for sustainability led her to Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Global Citizenship team, where she embedded corporate responsibility programs throughout the organization. Post the acquisition of Starwood by Marriott International, Claire joined Marriott's sustainability team to provide strategic direction, planning and execution of the company's sustainability platforms globally. Dedicated to the goal of improving sustainability within hotel operations, Claire received her degree in hotel management from Cornell University. In her free time, Claire raises awareness and funding for Alzheimer's research and while she enjoys far-flung travel destinations, she's currently spending more time at home with her 2 little boys.
