Diane Binder

Diane is a seasoned business executive and social entrepreneur with 20 years of global experience in corporate, development, and NGO sectors, predominantly in Africa. Her career has been driven by a profound conviction for a systemic change to prioritize social justice and planetary well-being, hence fostering public-private alliances across four continents to promote solutions for urban and community resilience, climate action, and the preservation of natural capital. In 2021, Diane founded Regenopolis, an international initiative supporting local solutions at the intersection of climate action, nature regeneration, and social well-being. In 2023, she co-founded 700’000 heures Impact, a pioneer in experiential travel and regenerative hospitality, leveraging micro-hospitality to regenerate local communities and ecosystems globally. Previously, Diane spent a decade at SUEZ, serving as Senior Vice-President for International Development in Africa and later as Senior Vice-President for International Relations. Before this, she worked with Development Financial Institutions and international organizations such as the European Investment Bank, the French Development Agency, and the World Bank. Diane is a member of the French Presidential Council for Africa, and President of Action Emploi Réfugiés, accompanying refugees into work. She sits on the Advisory Boards of social impact ventures, such as SOS Group International, OpenESG, and Ubuntu Tribe. Honored as a Young Global Leader by the WEF, Diane holds degrees from E.M. Lyon (Ms in Management), Georgetown University (Ms in Foreign Service and International Business Diplomacy), and has completed programs at Harvard University and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
