Kristin Heckmann-Kipouros

RHi, I’m Kristin Heckmann-Kipouros, Senior Director Sustainability at Mast Jägermeister SE, where I lead the company’s global sustainability strategy and drive cultural transformation to make sustainability the new normal. I joined Jägermeister in 2024 after twelve years at Hessnatur, most recently as Chief Sustainability Impact Officer, where I shaped the sustainability agenda. At that time and guided by my belief that sustainability and innovation are closely linked, I initiated an innovation award for impact start-ups. My shift into sustainability began with an ‘Aha’ moment in Australia in 2009, when I learned about the Sustainable Leadership Program at Macquarie Graduate School of Management. Understanding how business and sustainability connect was the missing piece for me. As part of Johnson & Johnson’s Green Team, I was able to apply this knowledge in practice. An experience that deeply influenced my belief in cross- functional collaboration, cultural openness, and the power of grassroots engagement to drive meaningful change. Outside corporate roles, I enjoy spending time with my family and was part of the Fair Wear Foundation Expert Group and the advisory board of the hessnatur Foundation. I join IMAGINE to reflect and challenge my perspectives, connect with purpose-driven leaders, and explore bold, future-fit solutions. I believe impact emerges through courageous conversations and shared action.
