Marc Zornes is a former McKinsey consultant where he was a leader in the consumer and sustainability practices. While at McKinsey, Marc co-authored the McKinsey Global Institute Report on Resource Revolution. Food waste emerged as one of the biggest resource issues globally - so why was so little being done about it? Marc left McKinsey to found Winnow in 2013, identifying a critical opportunity to help the hospitality sector cut food waste using technology. Winnow builds artificial intelligence tools to help chefs run more profitable and sustainable kitchens by cutting food waste in half. Since launching, Winnow has been deployed in almost 100 countries and is saving its customers over $100m in food costs every year. Clients include global brands like IKEA, Hilton, Marriott, Iberostar, ISS, and Four Seasons.
