Ahold Delhaize, Director Health & Sustainability (Europe & Indonesia)
Paulette is a sustainability leader, advisor, creative communicator and speaker. Since November 2020 she is the Director Health & Sustainability (Europe & Indonesia) at Ahold Delhaize, a global food retailer. She is particularly passionate about (and gradually, more knowledgable of) social norms, narratives and customer behaviors that inspire healthier and more sustainable living. She has had leading roles at companies such as EY (2010-2014), where she also set up the Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition initiated by IMAGINE leaders Paul Polman and Feike Sijbesma and as Global Climate Lead Royal DSM (2015-2019). At DSM she played a key role in driving systemic initiatives to mobilize businesses towards greater climate action, including with the World Economic Forum, UN, World Bank and a variety of campaigns. After this, she worked with organizations, initiatives and brands that spark and drive positive, environmentally sustainable actions among people (as humans, i.e. whether they are co-workers, citizens or consumers). Paulette is an alumna of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers. Having studied in the United States, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and various Latin American countries, Paulette holds a MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and BA Honors in Social Sciences from University College Utrecht. Paulette lives and works in the Amsterdam area, The Netherlands, with her husband and children.
