Robin Miller

Axum, Partner & Co-Founder

Robin Miller

Robin Miller has spent nearly two decades asking a deceptively simple question: how do you make technology work for Africa, not just in it? Today, as co-founder and Partner at Axum, she's building an Afrocentric impact accelerator dedicated to climate-positive, digitally innovative growth — leading a growing team across 10 locations on the continent. Her current work focuses on emerging technology and digital transformation as engines the drive both progress and prosperity. She's helping shape AI strategies for governments and regional bodies across Africa, leads a network of 100+ AI entrepreneurs building solutions across the Global South, and is co-authoring research on public AI and data governance in Africa. She also supported the United Nation’s AI Advisory Body and is currently helping to shape a green compute coalition and an African AI language models initiative in Africa. Robin previously co-founded, and later led, Dalberg's Africa team and built the firm's Global Digital and Data Practice. She also co-founded Praekelt.org (now Reach Digital Health), which builds open-source mobile health tools that have reached millions — and which earned a Skoll Award for Social Innovation. She's an Archbishop Desmond Tutu Fellow of the Africa Leadership Institute, a Global Future Council Member of the World Economic Forum, and a Senior Fellow of the Jackson School of Global Affairs at Yale University.
