From Geophysicist to Brand Strategist and now Food Entrepreneur taking my first steps into politics, I’ve lived various lives. I tend to feel most at home surrounded by innovators, rebels and revolutionaries who are determined to change the status quo in food, society and politics. I’ve spent the last 2,5 years building KiCo, with my brother, to create the infrastructure and culture needed to empower just that. Focusing on founders looking to revolutionise the food system and lowering the barriers to market entry and scale. This year, I’m also running on the GroenLinks (GreenLeft) list in Amsterdam’s March elections, advising party leadership on strategies to ensure Amsterdam respects human rights and international law consistently. From Palestine to Congo, Sudan and beyond. You’ll usually find me discussing anti-colonial struggles, raving about Yanis Varoufakis’ book ‘Technofeudalism’ or doing a surprisingly committed Celine Dion impression. If you play music around me, I will dance and will probably pull you in with me. Same applies to horses, if I see one, I will definitely try to convince someone to let me ride it out in the country.
